FAQ

We recognize that for many who reach out to us, this is your first time requiring skilled physical therapy interventions. There are many questions you will most likely have concerning the rehab process. Know that we are willing to help and be diligent in aiding you on your journey towards achieving your physical therapy goals!

  • Do you have accommodations for mobility impaired/ handicapped clients?
Resolve Physical Therapy is located on the second floor of the Nikles Office Plaza. We have wheelchair accessible ramps in the building with an elevator and handicap bathrooms on both floors. Patient's can expect a short walk from the conveniently located parking lot which has handicap parking spots as well.
  • How long can I expect to do physical therapy for?
There is not one specific general answer to this question. We want to get you better and back to the things you love as fast as possible! Typically most physical therapy plans of care at Resolve Physical Therapy include one on one treatments 2-3 times per week for an extended plan of care deemed appropriate at your physical therapy evaluation and also what would be recommended by your referring practitioner.
  • What are my insurance physical therapy benefits?
Finding out your insurance benefits can be a bit confusing sometimes. Your best bet is to call the phone number on the back of your insurance card to ask what your outpatient physical therapy benefits are. If you are having trouble with this, feel free to call us and we will check your eligibility and benefits for you and get back to you in a timely fashion.
  • Do I need physical therapy?
Knowing if you need physical therapy is a question that requires significant additional background information about you personally. If you call our office we can get back to you and perform an over the phone screen call to determine if you may benefit from getting a script for physical therapy. Another great option is contacting your primary care physician for an appointment to discuss options available to you.
  • Do you accept my insurance
We currently accept Medicare, Aetna, Humana, and United Healthcare and Highmark/BCBS plans and are in network with these plans.
  • Do I need to get a physician script for physical therapy prior to scheduling an appointment?
James has a direct access certification. This means in the state of Pennsylvania, you can be seen for skilled physical therapy services for up to 30 days from the date of the initial evaluation before requiring a physician consultation and script to determine if services should be continued. This certification however does not authorize a PT to (1) treat a patient for any non-neurologic, non-muscular, or non-skeletal condition or (2) treat a patient who has an acute cardiac or acute pulmonary condition. The PT may treat the aforementioned patients only if he or she has consulted the patient’s healthcare provider or has referred the patient to an appropriate healthcare provider. If you have any questions concerning direct access feel free to reach out to us via the chat, our social media or phone.
