ABOUT Dr. James Leighty

James grew up in Pike County and is a graduate of Delaware Valley High School. He knew from an early age he was interested in a career in physical therapy, working for several PT clinics as an aide from an early age. With an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from University of Scranton, James made a transition into the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program at Scranton. It was here his love for outpatient orthopedics grew. James began his career in central Pennsylvania working for busy outpatient orthopedic clinics before deciding to move back home to where he had roots. Spending the last several years working in New Jersey and developing his skills in orthopedics, neuro-rehabilitation and sports rehab, James realized he would rather share his skills with the local community he grew up in. ​

In his free time James enjoys a wide variety of activities including fishing, hunting, kayaking, biking, hiking and other various outdoor activities.
